The Legend of the Raven

🇬🇧 It is said that John of Hunedoara was the illegitimate son of Sigismund of Luxembourg, King of Hungary. The king had fallen in love with a beautiful woman from the land of Hațeg, known as Elisabeth of Mărgina. To preserve her honour, Sigismund arranged her marriage to one of his loyal knights, Voicu, and gifted a golden ring to the unborn child—a token by which the boy might one day be recognized at court.

During a journey taken by Voicu’s family, they stopped for a modest meal. As fate would have it, the ring was carelessly left at the edge of the cloth where their food had been spread. A raven, drawn by the glint of gold, swooped down and snatched it away. But young John, quick and unerring, took up a bow and felled the raven mid-flight, reclaiming the ring.

Years later, upon reaching the royal court, John recounted the tale. The king, moved by the story and recognizing the boy as his own, decreed that the emblem of the Hunyadi family would henceforth be a raven bearing a golden ring in its beak.

Now, centuries later, the legendary ring has vanished once more. No one knows who took it, but the descendants of the Corvin family are calling upon you to recover it. Your mission: to follow every clue, honour every detail, and restore the gleam of pride to a noble lineage. Once, John reclaimed the ring. Now, it is your turn to write history.

🇷🇴 Se spune că Iancu de Hunedoara a fost fiul nelegitim al lui Sigismund de Luxemburg, Regele Ungariei. Regele se îndrăgostise de o femeie frumoasă din Țara Hațegului, cunoscută ca Elisabeta din Mărgina. Pentru a-i păstra onoarea, Sigismund a aranjat căsătoria ei cu unul dintre cavalerii săi loiali, Voicu, și i-a dăruit un inel de aur copilului nenăscut—un simbol prin care băiatul ar putea fi recunoscut cândva la curte.

Într-o călătorie făcută de familia lui Voicu, s-au oprit pentru o masă modestă. Soarta a făcut ca inelul să fie lăsat neglijent pe marginea pânzei unde era așezată mâncarea. Un corb, atras de sclipirea aurului, a zburat și l-a furat. Dar tânărul Iancu, iute și precis, a luat un arc și a doborât corbul în zbor, recuperând inelul.

Ani mai târziu, ajuns la curtea regală, Iancu a povestit întâmplarea. Regele, emoționat de poveste și recunoscând băiatul ca fiind fiul său, a decretat ca emblema familiei Huniade să fie, de atunci, un corb cu un inel de aur în cioc.

Acum, secole mai târziu, legendarul inel a dispărut din nou. Nimeni nu știe cine l-a luat, dar descendenții familiei Corvin te cheamă să-l recuperezi. Misiunea ta: urmează fiecare indiciu, onorează fiecare detaliu și readu strălucirea mândriei unei neamuri nobile. Odată, Iancu a recuperat inelul. Acum e rândul tău să rescrii istoria.

🇭🇺 Azt mondják, hogy Hunyadi János Luxemburgi Zsigmond, Magyarország királyának törvénytelen fia volt. A király beleszeretett egy gyönyörű nőbe a Hátszeg vidékéről, akit Marginai Erzsébetként ismertek. Hogy megőrizze a nő becsületét, Zsigmond férjhez adta őt egy hűséges lovagjához, Voicuhoz, és egy aranygyűrűt ajándékozott a meg nem született gyermeknek—egy jelképet, amely alapján a fiút egy nap felismerhetik az udvarban.
